“Chasing Trane,” the acclaimed documentary about Jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, will be part of a combo of Film/Live Jazz/Art Show that takes place in South Pasadena Library’s Community Room.

In addition to the documentary, an art exhibit of paintings by Sam Pace and a live musical performance by Mark Hatch and Group 5 will be showcased, all part of the South Pasadena Winter Arts Crawl and in honor of Black History Month.

The documentary will start at 7:00 pm and will be followed by a Q & A with its award-winning director, John Scheinfeld. Group 5 is led by Mark Hatch, a former South Pasadena resident now based in Seattle, playing Trumpet, Flugelhorn, and EVI (Electronic Valve Instrument).

The Arts Crawl is South Pasadena’s ‘night on the town’ where venues will be open late around the downtown area in celebration of the arts.
