Jefferson Park to Host Pasadena’s 30th Annual National Night Out

The Pasadena Police Department is inviting residents, families, community organizations, and local businesses to celebrate the 30th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at its new location, Jefferson Park, 1501 E. Villa St.

The relocation reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to making the annual event more accessible, welcoming, and engaging for residents throughout Pasadena.

For 30 years, National Night Out has brought together neighbors, law enforcement, businesses, and community partners to promote safer, healthier neighborhoods. The event is designed to strengthen relationships between the Pasadena Police Department and the community while highlighting crime prevention, public safety, and neighborhood unity.

This year’s celebration will feature interactive games and activities, community resource booths, giveaways, and opportunities to meet Pasadena Police Department personnel, along with representatives from local nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Attendees can also access information on a variety of health and safety topics, including crime prevention, domestic violence resources, mental health services, youth programs, and personal safety. The department’s Mounted Enforcement Unit is scheduled to make a special appearance, giving families the opportunity to meet the horses and learn more about the unit’s role in community policing and public safety.

“National Night Out is more than just a community event; it’s a celebration of the partnerships that help keep Pasadena safe,” Police Chief Gene Harris said. “Whether you’re meeting an officer for the first time, connecting with local organizations, or simply enjoying an evening with your family and neighbors, we hope everyone feels welcome. We look forward to seeing the community at Jefferson Park on Aug. 4.”

According to the department, National Night Out continues to grow each year through expanded community outreach, partnerships, and engagement. Local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups support the event as vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, helping make it one of the department’s signature community celebrations.
