The Board of Directors and staff of The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts have announced the appointment of Jean Davidson as the organization’s new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. Davidson will officially assume the role on May 4, 2026.

An experienced arts administrator, Davidson most recently served as Executive Director of the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. During her tenure, she helped guide one of the nation’s leading orchestras through its artistic and organizational initiatives.
Prior to her work in Washington, Davidson was President and CEO of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, where she led the ensemble through a period of organizational growth and innovation. Her leadership expanded the chorale’s artistic reach while strengthening its financial stability.
Earlier in her career, Davidson helped launch and shape two influential arts organizations. She served as the founding CEO of New York Live Arts and as the founding Managing Director of Silk Road Project, contributing to the early development and vision of both institutions.
Leaders at The Wallis described Davidson as a thoughtful arts advocate who believes strongly in the ability of the arts to connect and strengthen communities. With a background that spans orchestral, choral, and multidisciplinary arts organizations, she brings extensive leadership experience, creative insight, and strategic vision to the role.
Davidson is expected to build upon the work accomplished by The Wallis over the past thirteen years and help guide the performing arts center into its next chapter. She has also expressed enthusiasm about engaging with audiences and supporters in person during upcoming performances and visits after she begins her tenure.
