Pasadena Media is the non-profit operating company of the City of Pasadena that maintains the community media center.

      By News Desk

In Pasadena Media’s newly-created Director of Community Engagement position, Jasiri Jenkins-Glenn is responsible for the cultivation of new and existing partnerships, along with ensuring that the organization’s public programs thrive. Her goal is to expand and enrich the many ways PM serves the community by identifying, engaging, and amplifying undiscovered voices.

Jasiri first found the joy of understanding and applying communication theory while earning an early associate degree in communication studies. Later, she attended San Jose State University and was granted the opportunity to study abroad in their Global Leadership Program.

With her background in social media management, content planning, web development, and overall online image relations, Jasiri’s experience has prepared her for the task at hand. She’s held management and operations positions in both the corporate and non-profit sectors working with entities such as the San Francisco and Palm Springs International Film Festivals, the Golden State Warriors, and Facebook; she’s also held positions on the Santa Cruz Volunteer Advisory Board and produced content for Santa Cruz County Community Television.

Jasiri has always been an advocate for those within her community. She currently serves as a Private School Village (PSV) Parent Ambassador at the Westridge School for Girls in Pasadena, manages a social media community that creates faith-based audio and video content, and produces Jasiriously Speaking, a show that spotlights the entrepreneurial journeys of individuals in the Greater Los Angeles Area. “With the addition of Jasiri to our team and the many dynamic skills that she brings to the table, we are so pleased to embark on this new chapter of increased interfacing with our community,” said George Falardeau, Executive Director CEO of Pasadena Media.
