A new “Let Us Play” course will be offered every Wednesday, Feb. 2 to March 23, from 2:30 to 4 pm onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center for adults 50 and older.

      By News Desk

The course will feature playful theater classes and improv games designed to increase mental focus, build confidence and nurture group connections.

Participants will tap into the wells of creativity and spontaneity within them in a safe, supportive and warm-hearted atmosphere as they embrace the joy of playing together. The course is taught by the husband-and-wife team of Mark and Ilona Jennings.

The cost for the eight-week course is only $65 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $75 for nonmembers. To register or for more information, visit pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Lectures & Classes, then Workshops or call 626-795-4331. Everyone who registers will receive an email link for joining the classes online.

In addition to online classes, onsite events and other activities, members and nonmembers of the Pasadena Senior Center are encouraged to visit the website regularly for a monthly magazine, COVID updates specifically for older adults, and more.

In accordance with L. A. County Public Health Department guidelines, proof of COVID vaccination is required for everyone who uses the fitness center or attends onsite activities indoors.

The Pasadena Senior Center, at 85 E. Holly St., is an independent, donor-supported nonprofit organization that has served older adults for more than 60 years.
