Huntington Health, a member of the Cedars-Sinai Health System, has announced the appointment of Dr. John M. Corman as its new president, effective immediately. This decision follows an extensive national search that attracted top-tier healthcare leaders from across the country.

      By News Desk

Dr. Corman’s appointment underscores Huntington Health’s commitment to excellence in patient care and innovative healthcare delivery. “Dr. Corman exemplifies the values and vision of Huntington Health and Cedars-Sinai Health System,” said Dr. Peter L. Slavin, president and CEO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Health System. “His dedication to clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care will enhance Huntington’s role as a trusted partner in advancing the health of the communities we serve.”

Having joined Huntington in May 2023 as Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Corman has already had a significant impact on the organization, serving as interim president for several months. During his tenure, he connected with physicians, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment focused on quality care and improved patient experiences.

“Dr. Corman has earned the trust and respect of our medical staff through his thoughtful, collaborative approach and consistent focus on patient care,” said Dr. Wafaa Alrashid, chief of staff at Huntington Hospital. “His leadership reflects a deep understanding of both clinical practice and the patient experience, and we are confident in his ability to guide Huntington forward.”

With more than 20 years of clinical and executive leadership experience, Dr. Corman brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Before joining Huntington, he held leadership positions as Chief Clinical Officer and Medical Director at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. A board-certified urologist, Dr. Corman has performed over 2,000 minimally invasive surgeries and has published research in prestigious journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine. He has also served as a clinical professor for more than two decades.

“Dr. Corman’s proven track record in clinical excellence and strategic leadership makes him the ideal choice to lead Huntington Health,” said Paul Johnson, chair of the Huntington Health board of directors. “On behalf of our entire board of directors, we are thrilled to welcome him to this post.”

As president, Dr. Corman will continue to prioritize quality care, patient experience, and strengthening Huntington Health’s role as a trusted local institution within the Cedars-Sinai Health System. His leadership is expected to guide the organization into its next chapter, marked by innovation and strengthened community partnerships.
