October will be observed as Health Literacy Month, a time dedicated to helping people gain the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their well-being.

      By News Desk

California Sen. Sasha Renée Pérez is inviting community members to a Health Literacy & Resource Fair on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will be hosted in partnership with Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, which is celebrating 100 years of healing.

The fair will take place at the hospital, located at 1420 S. Central Ave. in Glendale.

Attendees can visit educational booths; hear from local medical experts; meet health care professionals and community health partners; and learn about state and local resources. The event also will include information about state services and programs, as well as updates on legislation and other state efforts.

The family-friendly event will offer activities for all ages and complimentary light refreshments. Walk-ins are welcome, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP at this link.
