On Friday, Sept. 11, news outlets reported allegations that Dave Regan, described as the architect of the billionaire tax, attempted to “extort” support for the measure and targeted women.

      By News Desk

Assemblymember John Harabedian (D-Pasadena) condemned the allegations, calling them “abhorrent.”

“It is clear that we have a new generation of labor leaders who do not tolerate workplace harassment,” Harabedian said. “I’m thankful to the SEIU California State Council for responding to the harassment quickly.”

Harabedian added that labor leaders who claim to protect workers from harassment and retaliation should be held to the same standards.

“Anyone who doesn’t shouldn’t be in leadership,” he said.
