      • 12:00 p.m. Rose Bowl Stadium Parking Lots Open
      • 2:00 p.m. Festival begins outside the stadium with food & games for kids on Area H
      • 5:00 p.m.: VIP Reception Doors Open
      • 5:30 p.m. Stadium Gates Open for all seating
      • 7:00 p.m. Opening ceremonies, National Anthem by Pasadena Symphony’s JPL Chorus
      • 9:00 p.m. Biggest Fireworks show in Southern California Begins.

      Free Spots to watch the fireworks:

      > Colorado Street Bridge is a good place to see the Rose Bowl display for free.

      > The hill above the Rose Bowl parking lots is a place where spectators gather to watch the Fireworks. It’s quite a walk to get to it but it is worth it.

      Note: Parking lot at Pasadena Art Center College of Design (1700 Lida St.) is closed on the 4th, specifically to deter people from going there to view the fireworks.

      – 10:00 a.m.: Altadena Pepper Drive 4th of July Parade

      It’s the parade where everything goes. A lengthy Independence Day parade that starts at the top corner of Pepper Drive and Glen Canyon. A community tradition that spans more than half a century. (Check a video from few years back here.)

      – San Marino 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks

      • 7 a.m. Lacy Park Opens (Virginia entrance only)
      • 8 a.m. JP Blecksmith 5K Memorial Run
      • 3 p.m. St. Albans Entrance Opens/Food Booths Open
      • 3:30 p.m. Check-in for Rotary Parade begins at 1400 Block of San Marino Avenue.
      • 4 to 8 p.m. Family Fun Zone
      • 4:45 p.m. Rotary Club of San Marino Parade Starts
      • 5 p.m. The Pavilion Opens.
      • Completion of Parade to 6:30 p.m.
      • 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Entertainment
      • 8:30 p.m. Presentation of Colors
      • 8:45 p.m. National Anthem, America the Beautiful and God Bless America
      • 9:05 p.m. San Marino Presents “Stars and Stripes Forever” Fireworks Show.

      • 9:00 p.m. Fireworks show. Ramona Ave. and other surrounding streets will be closed at approximately 5 p.m. until the end of the fireworks show.
