The meeting will begin with a flag salute led by Dominic Bañuelos of the Los Hermanos Bañuelos Charro Team, followed by roll call and approval of the agenda.

During the officers’ reports, the council is scheduled to consider approval of the minutes from its August 18, 2026, meeting. The council will also vote on a Department of Angels federal relief letter, an EFRU letter urging Gov. Gavin Newsom to sign AB 1642 and AB 1795, and a construction-hours letter. Public comment on each item will be limited to the corresponding comment period.

Public safety reports will be presented by Altadena Sheriff’s Station Capt. Ethan Marquez, California Highway Patrol Officer Keller, and Los Angeles County Fire representative Maria Grycan.

The agenda also includes general public comment, community reports from the library and Altagether, and special presentations on Flock cameras and legislative updates. Anton Anderson and Dominic Osmena of Los Angeles County Public Works will give the presentation on Flock cameras.

Committee reports are scheduled from the Land Use, Election, Renters Protection and Recovery, Education, Rebuilding and Infrastructure, and Safe Streets and Mobility committees. The meeting will conclude with public comment on agenda items and a census tract report for Tract 4610.

General public comments are limited to two minutes. Speakers must complete a comment card and give it to a council member before the general comment period. The council does not respond during meetings; those requesting follow-up should include their contact information.
