One of the region’s most beloved choral ensembles is poised to fill the historic sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Pasadena with energy and harmony next Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 4:00 pm.

As part of the ongoing Third@First concert series, the group returns under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Ernest H. Harrison, promising a performance designed to uplift, inspire, and get audiences tapping their feet.
The concert is free to the public, in keeping with Third@First’s mission to make exceptional music accessible to all. A voluntary offering will be accepted during the event or through the 3rd@1st website for those who wish to support the series.
A Season Filled With Musical Highlights
Now in its twelfth season, Third@First continues to showcase an impressive lineup of performances. This year’s schedule features a dynamic range of musical experiences, including the opening Piano Extravaganza, Joy of Chamber Music with musicians from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the annual Christmas Joy Concert, a special Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, and an appearance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles.
A Venue Built for Sound
The concert will take place in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary, a century-old architectural landmark known for its exceptional acoustics and 1,500-seat capacity. The space has long been celebrated for enhancing choral and instrumental performances, making it an ideal setting for the returning ensemble.
