Monday is the 4th of July and there are many events and activities to commemorate the 246th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

If you are looking to celebrate beyond a backyard barbeque, there are many local options for food, entertainment and of course, fireworks.
July 1st
– Altadena:
Fireworks at Altadena Golf Course – 9:30 pm
Altadena Parking Lot and Clubhouse will be open for viewing (avoid roped areas).
July 2nd
– Arcadia:
Patriotic Festival & Fireworks – 5:00 – 9:00 pm
– Patriotic Festival at Huntington Drive and First Ave. at 5:00 pm.
– Fireworks at Firs Avenue Middle School, 301 South First, at 9:00 pm.
– Monterey Park:
Independence Day Celebration – 9:00 pm
Monterey Park will celebrate from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Barnes Park with live entertainment at the Amphitheater, concluding with a free fireworks show. Details here.
Warning: Fireworks fallout zone includes surrounding streets (McPherrin, Harding and Ramona Avenues) which will be closed from 4-11pm.
July 3rd
– South Pasadena:
We, Too, Are America – 6:30 pm

July 4th
– South Pasadena:
Festival of Balloons – All Day.
Pancake breakfast at the fire station, parade, games in the park, live concert plus fireworks. Details here.
– Altadena:
Pepper Drive Parade – 10:00 am
The long Independence Day parade will start at 10:00 a.m. at the top corner of Pepper Drive and Glen Canyon. Bikes, scooters, skateboards, horses and zany characters will stroll the length of the parade. See this article.

Fireworks Celebration – 4:00 pm
Food, games, music, and fireworks at Almansor Park. Gates open at 4:00 pm. Details here.
– San Marino:
4th of July Fireworks Celebration – Ticketed event ($5 Residents, $15 non-residents)
Celebrate Independence Day: Live music, food vendors, games, and fireworks. Details here.
– Sierra Madre:
Sierra Madre 4th of July Celebration – All Day
Parade starts at 10:00 am at Memorial Park. Participation is open to all; young, young-at-heart, and everything in between, and there is no fee to participate. Firecracker Fun Run, Mt. Wilson Trail Race, starts at 12 noon.
– Pasadena:
The 96th Annual AmericaFest – Dusk
The Rose Bowl, “America’s Stadium”, is celebrating 100 years and the celebration will be bigger and better this year. Details here.
– San Gabriel:
Kids’ Day and 4th of July Celebration – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Hometown fun with a parade, community booths and food vendors and music. Details here.
– Monrovia
2022 4th of July Celebration – 7:00 – 9:30 pm
