The two federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) established to assist survivors of the Los Angeles wildfires will permanently close at the end of this week at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

      By News Desk

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will transition operations to new locations operated by local city and county agencies beginning Monday, June 2.

      Closing DRC Locations

The closing DRCs are located at:

      • UCLA Research Park West
10850 West Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064
        Open Monday–Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
        Saturday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
      • Altadena Disaster Recovery Center
540 West Woodbury Rd., Altadena, CA 91001
        Open Monday–Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
        Saturday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

New Service Locations (Beginning June 2)

Beginning June 2, services will continue at the following locations:

      • One Stop Rebuilding Center
1828 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025
        Open Monday–Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Closed weekends)
      • Altadena Community Center
        730 E. Altadena Dr., Altadena, CA 91001
        Open Monday–Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Closed weekends)

FEMA encourages all individuals who applied for assistance to stay in contact for updates—especially after receiving insurance settlements or experiencing changes in their recovery status. Representatives will continue to provide guidance on available aid programs and eligibility requirements.

Rental assistance remains available for eligible wildfire survivors who were displaced. The SBA will also continue supporting small business owners and homeowners with disaster loan applications, documentation, and status updates at the new locations.

      Additional Recovery Resources

Additional recovery support is available through:

      • California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES)
Visit the CA.gov/LAfires Recovery Services Finder for a full list of services and contacts.
      • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Debris removal support is available via their call center at 213-308-8305, open daily from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
      • One-Stop Permitting Centers
Located in Calabasas and Altadena, these centers assist property owners in unincorporated LA County with rebuilding. More information is available at LA County Recovery.
