Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28) joined City of Pasadena officials Monday morning to present $1 million in federal funding for renovations and improvements to the Jackie Robinson Community Center.

The funding will support efforts to revitalize and modernize the 50-year-old facility, helping ensure it continues to provide a safe, clean environment for Pasadena residents. The center serves as a hub for community programs and services used by local families and individuals.
The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, located at 1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena. Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, Pasadena City Councilmember Justin Jones, and other city officials joined Rep. Chu for the presentation.
City officials said the investment will help preserve and enhance the community center’s ability to provide vital services and programming for residents for years to come.
