Understanding Your Rights: Tenant Workshop–Navigating Measure H – Pasadena Fair and Equitable Housing Charter Amendment.
Understanding Your Rights is tailored for tenants to learn about their tenant rights under the new Pasadena Fair and Equitable Housing Charter Amendment. The goals of the workshop for tenants are:
- Learn who is covered and who’s not covered under the new law
- Understand what are just cause reasons for evictions
- Explore Topics Such as Rent Control and Allowable Rent Increases
- Understand guidelines for Relocation and Tenant Buyouts
Both workshops will be presented by Matthew Siegel, a seasoned attorney with over three decades of experience in landlord/tenant law. He has successfully assisted landlords and tenants in complying with local rent control laws in California. In these workshops, he will provide a comprehensive overview of both landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities under Pasadena’s new charter amendment.
The PRHB encourages all community members—tenants and landlords— with questions to attend these online events to learn more about the Pasadena Fair and Equitable Housing Charter Amendment and how to achieve success in complying with or availing of these new regulations.
The workshops are free and open to the public and will be offered via Zoom with registration required for each session.
