Enjoy Twilight Garden Strolls at The Huntington on four select Sundays (Photo – Linnea Stephan, Huntington Gardens)
One of summer’s special treats is a late day/early evening stroll amongst a cooling garden, and for four upcoming Sunday nights, The Huntington offers special tickets for most of their 130 acres, beginning at 4:30 pm.
As day turns to dusk, relax and explore the gardens with friends and family after regular visiting hours, which end at 5:00 pm. With the exception the indoor spaces and the Children’s Gardens, The Huntington’s grounds will be fully accessible to Twilight ticket holders. The nights are a rare chance to enjoy cooler hours with smaller crowds in one of the most visited gardens in the nation.
Twilight Strolls are available July 12 and 26, August 9 and 16, and three of those days (not Aug 9), visitors can make family-friendly clay pendants using leaves, flowers, and other bits of greenery collected from The Huntington’s grounds (until 7:00 pm).
Visitors may choose to add-on a $49 docent-led 90 minute tour, which start at 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
On all four Sundays, Red Car coffee shop will be open until 5:30 pm, and 1919 Cafe will be open from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Hot food stations close at 7:00 pm. The Huntington Store will be open until 8:00 pm.
