This program focuses on the architecture of the buildings within the Huntington’s Chinese and Japanese Gardens.

These include the recently opened 17th century Japanese country magistrates’ residential compound, transplanted from Japan, and the dozen classical Suzhou-style buildings and pavilions within the Chinese Garden. These buildings were constructed, in large part, by over 60 traditional Chinese craftsmen from Suzhou, who spent over a year working on the project. For ages 18+.
