The Library Board of Trustees is a five member body that is advisory to the City Council and provides input on the Library’s needs and traditions, assists with promoting library interests, supports funding levels, and adopts policies that govern the operations of the Library.

The powers and duties of the Board are defined in section 2.78 of the South Pasadena Municipal Code. Qualifications for serving on the board consist of being a resident elector (registered voter) of the city. Members are appointed to a three-year term, with a maximum length of service of two full consecutive terms, plus one partial term (if applicable).

The City of South Pasadena strongly encourages participation in public meetings. Participants can provide public comment live (in person or via Zoom) or in writing by emailing lbt@southpasadenaca.gov. Written Public Comments must be submitted by 12:00 pm on the day of the meeting to ensure adequate time to compile and post.

Meetings are held in the South Pasadena Library’s Ray Bradbury Conference Room or via Zoom.

      Zoom Meeting ID: 892 5352 3747
      Zoom Passcode: 073797
