The powers and duties of the Board are defined in section 2.78 of the South Pasadena Municipal Code. Qualifications for serving on the board consist of being a resident elector (registered voter) of the city. Members are appointed to a three-year term, with a maximum length of service of two full consecutive terms, plus one partial term (if applicable).
The City of South Pasadena strongly encourages participation in public meetings.
