“When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning or in rain?” asks the First Witch of this famous play as she and her sisters plot trouble in the Scottish hills. However we assume The City of South Pasadena’s Community Services Department are hoping for clearer weather for the July 18th weekend performances of Macbeth in Garfield Park.
Known as the Scottish play, Shakespeare’s epic tale of greed, treachery, kings and the supernatural comes to the sunny slopes of South Pasadena’s Garfield Park twice in one weekend: Saturday, July 18, 2026, and Sunday, July 19, 2026. Both performances are scheduled for 7:00 pm.
The annual Shakespeare in the Park program pairs with the Concert & Movie Series to fill up the City’s summer with plenty of family-friendly outdoor activities.
Community members are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy live theater in a relaxed park setting.
Garfield Park is located at 1000 Park Avenue with some local, free street parking and direct access to public transportation.
