an invitation to sip and shop soireeThe The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena presents The First Annual Sip & Shop Soiree on Saturday, November 27 to benefit the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena’s High School Scholarship Program Class of 2022.

Sip & Shop Soiree is a boutique shopping experience taking place in the historic WCSP 1913 clubhouse. The event will feature 25 artisans, bakers, small local retailers and other independent vendors. Tickets are $10 and include a complimentary bar and small bites and desserts, live holiday music performed by students of the South Pasadena High School music program, an opportunity drawing and silent auction in a festive and elegant boutique atmosphere. The event will also host a sale of previously loved quality books.

Sip & Shop Soiree Co-Chairs Anne Bagasao and Judy Rivera are proud of community enthusiasm for this first-time event

“What makes Sip & Shop Soiree so unique is that all 25 vendors are women. The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena was founded over 100 years ago by a group of professional and creative women as well as educators. The Evening Membership is proud to uphold this legacy of women supporting women and girls in our community.”

Sponsors of the event are Ellen’s Silkscreening, Nichole Dunville Coldwell Banker Realtor, Simply Better Skin, South Pasadena Fitness, Dr. Yuli Mosqueda, and South Pasadenan. The event will take place on Small Business Saturday and will be an excellent opportunity to support local graduating high school students and women businesses while purchasing unique gifts that are not available in stores or stuck on cargo ships!

The Evening Membership of the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena was born out of the challenge that club participation was not convenient for many women. With traditional meetings taking place on weekday mornings, attendance was limited to those who had more flexibility with their schedules. Members Claire Collins, Anne Bagasao, Judy Rivera developed the concept for a membership that could meet in the evenings, plan events based on interests and availability and provide philanthropy and service directly to the community. Evening Members are fully vested Woman’s Club members. The evening membership is over 60 women from South Pasadena and surrounding areas.

Tickets are available at the door or by PayPal/Credit card by visiting @sipandshopsoiree on Instagram. For more information contact sandswcsp@gmail.com.
