Tour the historical Sam and Alfreda Maloof Museum & Foundation for Arts & Crafts.
Sam Maloof was the most respected furniture maker of the 20th century. This 5.5 acre site sits in the San Gabriel Mountains near Rancho Cucamonga and is on the National Registry of Historical Sites. It houses their historical home, the Jacobs Educational Center and Gallery and native California gardens.
The bus will depart at 9:00 am from the Hart Park House Senior Center and return at 2:00 pm. Arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. Participants will be required to walk a lot, so wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and bring water. Lunch will be on your own and will be after the tour at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Duarte (lunch not included in the $26 fee). Participants may bring money for meal and souvenirs. Heading home around 2:00 pm, you will be entertained by a wild game of bus bingo on the drive home.
This is a private-guided tour. Space is limited so register early. Call Community Services at 626-355-5278 to register. Last day to register is Monday, August 21, 2023.
