The Sierra Madre Planning Commission will be meeting to further discuss the New Urban West development, the Meadows Project at the Monastery at the top of Sunnyside Ave.

The duties of the Planning Commission have been to review any design of a new house or remodel that is outside Sierra Madre zoning restrictions. Preserve Sierra Madre is asking the community to show up in support of the initiative that will be on the November 8 ballot. This initiative will place the 20 acres of the Monastery in the Hillside Management Zone which will place some restrictions on the developer’s plans to build homes in that area.
