San Rafael Elementary School Cub and Girl scouts will participate in a Friends In Deed food and toiletry donation drive to benefit the needy in our community.
Friends In Deed has been assisting the needy in Pasadena for more than 50 years. In fact, it has provided food and personal-care products to more than 400 households every week.
Friends in Deed recommends donating the following:
- High-need foods: canned tuna and chicken, hearty soups, stew, chili, pasta and pasta sauce, peanut butter, cereal, rice, oil, sugar, flour, fruit juice, and vegetable juice (V8)
- Other foods: dry and canned beans, sliced bread, canned fruits and vegetables, coffee, jelly, shelf-stable or powdered milk, fresh poultry and meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, packaged prepared foods, deli meats, fresh milk, and cheese and eggs
- Toiletries: soap (bar), toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, skin lotion, razors, and toilet paper
- Dog & cat food
Drop your donations off in front of San Rafael Elementary School, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Friday, Dec. 2 and on Saturday, Dec. 3.
