The City of San Gabriel is notifying property owners about a proposed increase in waste service rates and inviting the public to participate in upcoming meetings as part of the review process.

All commercial, residential, and multi-family property owners in San Gabriel are invited to attend a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, July 8, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The meeting will take place at the Adult Recreation Center, Padillo Room, located at 324 S. Mission Drive. The session will provide information on Athens Services’ proposed solid waste rate increases and offer attendees an opportunity to ask questions ahead of an upcoming public hearing.

As part of the City’s Proposition 218 process, a Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, at 6:30 pm. The hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers at 425 S. Mission Drive and will address proposed solid waste collection rate adjustments for commercial and multi-family properties.

To support public understanding of the proposed changes and residents’ rights under Proposition 218, translated versions of the public hearing notice are available online.
