The City of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Police Department invite the community to celebrate the 32nd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Historic Mission District at 320 S. Mission Drive (between Broadway and Santa Anita Street).

This free event brings neighbors and first responders together for an evening of community connection, entertainment, and public safety awareness.

This year’s event will feature food trucks, face painting, balloon artists, a petting zoo, a bounce house, children’s games, and the crowd-favorite donut-eating contest, where participants of all ages can compete for prizes. Guests can also enjoy a live performance by the Smooth Sounds of Santana while exploring everything the event has to offer.

Community members will have the opportunity to meet San Gabriel police officers, firefighters, and city staff, learn about local safety programs, and get an up-close look at public safety vehicles, including the Police Department’s armored rescue vehicle, DUI trailer, and a fire engine. Information booths will provide resources on emergency preparedness, crime prevention, neighborhood watch, and other city services that help keep our community safe.

National Night Out is an annual nationwide campaign that strengthens relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The event encourages neighbors to connect with one another, meet the public safety professionals who serve them, and learn about resources that help build a safer, stronger community.

Whether you’re cheering on contestants in the donut-eating contest, enjoying live music, or visiting local first responders, there’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event.
