      The San Gabriel Memorial Day event stands out for its commitment to the Field of Heroes, a stand of over 200 American flags, each dedicated to the memory of a dishonorably discharged veteran, which are on display at Plaza Park from May 18-26, 2026.

      The City’s official Memorial Day Ceremony happens from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Plaza Park, 428 S. Mission Drive.

      To participate in the San Gabriel Veterans’ Memorial Coalition’s Sponsor A Flag program or for more information on the organization, visit SGVMemorial.org.

      Parking Locations

      City Hall, 425 S. Mission Drive (free)
      Mission Playhouse, 320 S. Mission Drive ($15 fee)
      Mission District – Street Parking (free)

      Reminder: City facilities will close in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2026.
