According to a recent study by AARP, older adults are driven more and more to seek personal growth and actively experience new things, whether learning to dance, speak a foreign language, keep pace with technology and much more.
These passion projects and individual interests are just a few of the pursuits they seek to stay intellectually stimulated and physically active as they age. The Pasadena Senior Center offers dozens of classes for members ranging from exercise and fitness to hobbies and special interests.
As the Jan. 5 registration deadline for winter classes approaches, members and nonmembers of the Pasadena Senior Center can sample some of the most popular offerings for free by attending 30-minute mini-class sessions, meeting the instructors, and learning more about the courses.
Known as Class Tasting, samplings of 15 of the 36 classes will take place Tuesday, Jan. 2, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm and Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Most Class Tastings will be onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center and one will be online via Zoom. Everyone who registers for the Zoom sample class will receive an email link to the Class Tasting.
