Inspired by the beloved “Spoon River Anthology” by Edgar Lee Masters, “Rio Grande Anthology” by playwright Josephine Nericcio imagines the gathering of voices of the dead in a cemetery on the banks of the Rio Grande River in a Texas border town.
Thoughts they never shared when they were alive are spoken: unrequited love, children dreamt of but never born, hidden love and painful truths. Some voices are at peace and others are not, but all are waiting to be heard.
