Residents of Altadena and Pasadena who were impacted by the Eaton Fire are invited to attend a new workshop, “Road to Recovery: Insurance Claim,” on October 3rd or 4th, both from 9:00 am to noon, onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center.

Older adults impacted by the Eaton Fire are invited to attend the October 3 workshop, while all affected homeowners are invited to attend the October 4 event.

This workshop will focus on helping wildfire survivors navigate the often-overwhelming process of completing their contents claim inventories. Attendees will receive practical guidance and tools to organize their claims more effectively and will also learn about options for negotiating insurance settlements, particularly the possibility of reaching a fair payout without having to fully itemize every lost item. The goal is to reduce stress, save time, and empower participants to make informed decisions as they work toward financial recovery. Sponsored by the Assistance League of Pasadena.

      > The event is free and registration is suggested. To register for either one of the workshop dates, visit this website.

The “Road to Recovery: Insurance Claim” workshop is presented by United Policyholders, a non-profit whose mission is to be a trustworthy and useful information resource and a respected voice for consumers of all types of insurance across the United States.

This workshop is just one of many initiatives of PSC’s Eaton Fire Community Support resources that were provided to the community within days of the devastating Eaton Fire. Additional resources to community members impacted by the fire can be found under the Resources menu on pasadenaseniorcenter.org.
