Pasadena announces the return of the Rent Stabilization Monthly Workshop Series for 2026.
These free, educational sessions are designed to help tenants, landlords, and community members gain a clear understanding of Pasadena’s rent stabilization policies.
The workshops feature subject matter experts from the department who will provide practical guidance and answer questions on a wide range of rental housing topics. Sessions are free, open to the public, and held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at the Rent Stabilization Department office, located at 199 S. Los Robles Ave., 1st Floor Conference Room.
The first workshop of the year, “Understanding the Ellis Act,” will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Attendees will learn about the Ellis Act and its impact on rental housing in Pasadena, including landlord responsibilities, tenant rights, and relocation assistance requirements. The session offers a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions directly with RSD staff.
For anyone looking to better understand their rights and responsibilities under Pasadena’s rent stabilization policies, this workshop series provides an accessible, informative, and interactive forum.
