On Friday night, July 17th, you’re invited to be amongst the first people to view Descanso Garden’s new exhibit LA’s Garden, which will be on display July 18 – November 29, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm daily at the Boddy House.
The Opening Reception runs from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Boddy House, and attendees will also be able to stroll the gardens without charge during the reception times. No registration is required.
In addition, the LA’s Garden curator Rosten Woo will be on hand to chat and answer questions about the exhibit, which traces the transformation of Descanso Gardens from a native oak woodland to a living museum. The exhibition highlights the Gardens’ iconic botanical collections and the diverse individuals—from Japanese American nurserymen to visionary volunteers—who preserved this landscape for the public.
Soak in all the history and of course evening sights and scents of the gardens themselves, enjoy live music and a no-host bar.
