Soul in Bliss Theatre Co. and The Shakespeare Club of Pasadena present a fast and furious adaption of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
The February 16 performance benefits College Access Plan, a Pasadena nonprofit that provides free programs in college preparedness and success.
Drawing on the Shakespeare Club’s history and use as a convalescent home for soldiers recuperating from various injuries, this adaptation set during WWII follows the story of betrothed Claudio and Hero, and the repelled-by-each-other though well-matched couple, Benedict and Hero’s cousin Beatrice. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a wine and cheese reception. Purchase tickets at Eventbrite.
In addition to the ticketed performance, there will be a pay-what-you-can matiness dress rehearsal followed by a Q&A with cast and crew on Saturday, February 15 at 3:00 p.m. This performance is free for students.
