      Not just every community throws itself a birthday party, much less one that celebrates its talented young people and scholars. Hurray for Monrovia Days!

      The City of Monrovia, Monrovia Unified School District and Centre Stage Inc. are excited to announce the return of their annual celebration to celebrate community talented youth and the Scholars and Champions from the Monrovia Unified School District.

      The following activities are planned this year on May 14, 15, 16 and 17: Parade to honor Scholars and Champions from the Monrovia Unified School District, youth performances, the Famous Merengue’s Bakery Pie Eating Contest, live musical entertainment, beer garden, carnival food, games, and carnival rides.

      Monrovia Days Schedule

      Thursday, May 14, 2026
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Monrovia Days Parade: Celebrating our Country’s 250th Birthday, Route 66 Centennial and the Western Theme

      The Monrovia Days Parade will start at 7:00 pm on Myrtle Avenue at Olive Avenue, and will head north on Myrtle Avenue to Library Park. Priority will be given to Monrovia Youth Based Organizations.

      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      All night – Carnival rides, food and games
      5:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Youth Performances
      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Live Entertainment, Stone Soul – Motown Band

      Saturday, May 16, 2026 
      12:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Friends of the Library Book Sale
      12:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Carnival rides, food and games
      12:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Youth Entertainment
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Yesteryear Exhibit in the Multi-Purpose Room
      4:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Parade Awards Ceremony
      5:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Merengue Bakery Pie Eating Contest Team Prizes: $300, $150, $50. Apply to enter here.
      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Live Entertainment, Blue Breeze Band, Funk & Soul Band

      Carnival Wristbands For Pre-Sale

      Carnival wristbands are available for pre-purchase and can be collected at the check-in booth on the day of your choice. Pre-Sale prices will end on Thursday, May 14 at 11:59 pm.

      One Day

      Pre-Sale: $15.00 | Day of (at Library Park): $20.00

      Two Day

      Pre-Sale: $25.00 | Day of (at Library Park): $30.00

      Three Day

      Pre-Sale: $35.00 | Day of (at Library Park): $40.00

      Single Ride Tickets: $1.00 – will be available only at the event. Rides will vary from 1 – 5 tickets per ride.

      Ticket booths will open on Friday, May 15 at 4:00 pm.
