Join us for a WriteGirl public reading to celebrate the launch of our brand-new online literary journal Threads via Zoom!
Threads showcases creative writing from WriteGirl teens and alums in poetry, fiction, songwriting, screenwriting, journalism, and more. The pieces represent a diverse range of ages, genres, and styles on themes of hopes and fears, loves and losses, snacks and boy bands. The first issue will focus on the theme of “My Hometown,” from Los Angeles to hometowns around the world.
Several WriteGirl teen writers and alums from Los Angeles will be performing their work at the event, along with special guests. Be among the first to experience the premiere issue of Threads, which will be unveiled at the event.
Bonus
Be sure to stick around in the last half hour to participate in a creative writing activity led by WriteGirl staff! Get ready to dive into your own hometown stories!
Tickets are free, but donations are encouraged!
