Karine Dulyan, a.k.a. Karishok, is an artist hailing from Armenia.

Her works are inspired by the intricacies of urban Armenian architecture.

The Layers Art Gallery will be the first-ever American exhibition opening for Karishok as she has traveled all the way from Armenia for her debut. We encourage art lovers in the community to bring their friends and join us in giving Karishok a warm welcome at her American debut in Pasadena, California.

Karishok explains the artistry behind these scenes, “When I paint, I’m inexplicably drawn to the details of a place. Whether it’s the twisted gutter, yellow gas pipes, or entangled electric wires, these elements inspire me. I take delight in observing how families personalize their apartments in condominiums, extending rooms with columns and neighbors hanging laundry or drying fruits on wires. Capturing the interplay of colors, intricate details, and the play of light on glass panes brings me immense joy. These experiences cultivate my love for this world and fill me with gratitude for the life I lead”.

      From June 16th to 20th.

      Only on Opening Night:

      • Wine and Food
