Find bargains and help a local self-built float make its way down Colorado Boulevard in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1.
The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee is holding a giant yard sale for two days
on Friday May 19 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) and Saturday May 20 (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). Parking is on Fair Oaks Avenue and in the building’s parking lot.
Shoppers will find collectibles, tools, electronics, antiques, furniture, dishware, jewelry, children’s items, and many other treasures — all for a good price.
Everything in the sale is donated by community members. Dates to drop off tax-deductible items for the sale are Tuesday, May 16 (4:00 to 6:00 pm); Wednesday, May 17 (5:00 to 8:00 pm); and Thursday, May 18 (4:00 to 8:00 pm). Donations should be dropped off in the lower parking lot behind the building off Mound Avenue.
All proceeds after expenses go toward building and decorating the South Pasadena float. Although all labor is volunteer, funds are needed for steel, flowers, and supplies. The city float is the oldest (1893) of six self-built entries in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.
