The Annual Fund of Eliot Arts Magnet middle school is hosting Fauxchella Music Festival.

There is an exciting lineup of musical acts including The Long Shadows, Javier Vergara Jazz Quartet, Vocal Artist Dana Hill, and Kristen Marie Holly. The school’s All-Star Bands for Pop, Funk, and Rock will perform intermittently.

      > Tickets are $10 at the door, with pricing specials for families. For those who buy in advance, there is a promo running for 50% off!

Wendy Silva, the Annual Fund Chair, shared, “Everyone is invited to attend; the primary goal is to bring the community together and showcase the talent thriving at our school.” The festival will also feature student artwork on display, performers busking around the campus, and local interest and opportunities found at the Community Tables. Shoppers can also support local artists in the Vendor Booths, while food lovers can choose their picnic of choice from the food trucks. Attendees can judge the car show, and the winner will be picked by the People’s Choice.

The Fauxchella Music Festival is an excellent opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy the afternoon with family, friends, and neighbors. Bring your picnic blanket and chairs to camp out on the field for the mainstage performances. All proceeds go to the Annual Fund to support the art and French programs at Eliot.

Eliot Arts Magnet is a middle school choice for families seeking a rigorous arts conservatory with a French dual language option. The Principal, Dr. Benita Scheckel, and her team have successfully implemented the arts and French curriculum at Altadena Arts Magnet elementary school, and now she is now continuing the work of articulating the programs by building the arts conservatory and French dual language program for students in middle school.

      > Don’t miss out on the chance to support a good cause and enjoy a fun-filled day at the Faxuchella Music Festival on May 13, 2023. Visit gopusd.com/fauxchella for tickets and more information.
