This October, the Gamble House will welcome all ages for a free day of architecture, art and exploration.
Half-hour group tours of the interior of the house, tailored to children’s interests, will be offered throughout the day. Outdoors, guided discovery sessions for young learners will explore the Gamble House through sight, touch, and sound. A local children’s author will share her own work in story time under the big oak tree, followed by a book signing.
Those looking to discover or nurture their artistic side may work with California Art Club artists to create their own artwork using the architecture and gardens for inspiration (materials provided). Side Street Projects will bring their famous Woodworking Bus, where kids can work with an artist to craft their own name plate.
