Water quality is an ongoing concern throughout the San Gabriel Valley, both for wildlife and humans, and this Wednesday, April 22, citizens have a chance to dive into the details of one of the area’s ambitious efforts to improve the quality of Arroyo Seco and Los Angeles River run-offs while increasing supply for the Raymond Basin.

Pasadena Councilmember Tyron Hampton will host an Earth Day celebration highlighting the Brookside Stormwater Capture Project — a high-profile effort to improve water quality and support long-term sustainability in our community — from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Brookside Golf Club’s Mediterranean Room, 1133 Rosemont Ave, Pasadena.

A special presentation on the project commences at 5:30 pm.

Residents will have the opportunity to view proposed project improvements, learn about nature-based solutions, provide input and ask questions.

For more information about the project, visit Brookside Storm Water Capture Project online.
