Since 1962, Dodger Stadium has become an iconic fixture in Los Angeles. Set in the heart of Los Angeles, located in the valley of Chavez Ravine, the 56,000-seat venue is home to the Los Angeles Dodgers. This stadium has not only hosted Dodgers’ home games but countless events over its 60 years. Join Mark Langill for this presentation as he explores the history of this iconic stadium and learn how this became home to the LA Dodgers.
Mark Langill is the team historian of the Los Angeles Dodgers. A member of the front office since 1994, he previously covered the ballclub for five seasons as a beat reporter for the Pasadena Star-News. The Cal State Northridge graduate has written six books about the ballclub, including “Dodger Stadium,” “The Dodgers: From Coast to Coast,” “Game of My Life: Dodgers,” and “All For One,” the official commemorative book about the 2020 championship season. His television appearances include ESPN’s 30-for-30 documentary, “Fernando Nation,” The History Channel’s “American Restoration,” and various programming on the team’s Spectrum SportsNet LA network.
