Saturday: Community Service Day
Should you feel like giving back, or if you’d just like to get your hands a little dirty, Saturday morning’s Community Service Day at Descanso Gardens gives you the chance to pitch in to a current garden project from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.
Instruction will be provided, and all experience levels are welcome. The opportunity is open to anyone ages 16 and older who can lift, bend and stand for long periods of time. Moderate to heavy lifting is involved. Participants are asked to bring their own gardening gloves and water. They’re also advised to opt for comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
This event does anticipate filling up, so RSVPs are required by emailing volunteer@descansogardens.org.
You will be sent additional instructions and will need to sign a waiver form in order to participate.
Bring a friend and grab one or both chances to enjoy all that the beautiful gardens have to offer.
