Classic film enthusiasts are invited to a special film screening featuring Academy Award nominee Piper Laurie followed by a discussion about the film with Ms. Laurie led by film historian Foster Hirsch.
This event is free to the public and will take place in the Friends Room at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:30 pm.
The library is not able to disclose the title due to licensing restrictions, but the 1961 drama stars Paul Newman and Piper Laurie, with Newman as an ambitious small time pool hustler trying to make it into the big leagues.
