The City of San Marino will celebrate its annual Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, at Lacy Park with a full day of family-friendly activities, patriotic festivities, and community events.

Gates open at 7:00 am at the Virginia entrance to Lacy Park. The day’s schedule includes the 8:00 am JP Blecksmith 5K Fun Run, food booths, a Family Fun Zone, live entertainment, the community parade, and a fireworks show to conclude the celebration.

This year’s community parade will feature a new route. It will begin at the intersection of Wembley Road and Monterey Road, travel west on Monterey Road to Virginia Road, and conclude inside Lacy Park. Parade check-in begins at 3:30 pm at Monterey Road and Cambridge Road, with the parade stepping off at 4:45 pm.

Following the parade, attendees will be introduced to the Parade Grand Marshal, the San Marino City Council, the San Marino School Board, the City Executive Team, and the San Marino Little League All-Stars.

Live entertainment by Stone Soul, performing classic Motown and soul music, is scheduled from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 pm. The evening will continue with the Presentation of Colors by the San Marino Scouts at 8:40 pm, followed by performances of the National Anthem, America the Beautiful, and God Bless America at 8:45 pm. The city’s “Friends, Family, and Fireworks” display begins at 9:00 pm.

The city is inviting community groups, organizations, and businesses to participate in the parade and help celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The celebration is a ticketed event, and wristbands are required for adults and children over 2 years old. Pre-sale wristbands are $5 for San Marino residents with proof of residency and $15 for non-residents. Wristbands purchased on the day of the event are $20 for both residents and non-residents.

Pre-sale wristbands are available June 15 through July 2 at the San Marino Community Center, 1800 Huntington Drive, and June 15 through July 3 at Crowell Public Library, 1890 Huntington Drive.

The San Marino City Club will also host its VIP Pavilion, offering reserved premium seating for attendees. Space is limited and reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
