The California Institute of Technology’s Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) program will present its Commencement Concert tonight, Thursday, June 11, at Ramo Auditorium, marking the final PVA event of the 2025–26 academic year.
The concert, scheduled for 8:30 pm, will celebrate graduating students before they depart for their next endeavors beyond Caltech. Organizers have invited the community to join in recognizing the graduates through an evening of chamber music and choral performances.
The program will feature Maurice Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, M. 60 for piano four hands, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 9, “Kreutzer”, and 5 Fachadas for guitar and viola by Javier Farías, arranged by Mikhail Mints.
The evening will also include performances by the Caltech Chamber Singers, who will present works by Giuseppe Verdi, Frank Ticheli, Maurice Duruflé, Morten Lauridsen, and Leon Kirchner.
Organizers noted that the concert may begin slightly later than the advertised 8:30 p.m. start time, depending on the conclusion of a preceding event.
The Commencement Concert serves as the closing PVA program of the academic year and an opportunity for the Caltech community to celebrate its graduating students through music.
