Altadena Music Theatre returns to the Charles Farnsworth Amphitheater on May 25.
Following their inaugural production of “Hair” that took audiences by storm last Labor Day weekend, Altadena Music Theatre will be returning with the iconic Kander and Ebb classic “Cabaret”.
This musical, written by Joe Masteroff, was based off the play by John Van Druten and ‘The Berlin Stories’ of Christopher Isherwood. It tells the tale of two love stories and the impact society and the Nazi’s rise to power had on their relationships. Politics and society can change so quickly, but so many detrimental aspects remain if we are complacent and don’t shine a light.
The show is produced by Sarah Azcarate, directed by Oliver Azcarate and Sarah Azcarate, choreographed by Melissa Schade, with music direction by Chris Wade. The cast includes Emily Lopez and Cruz St. James starring as Sally Bowles and the Emcee. Television’s Michael Thomas Grant plays the role of Cliff Bradshaw. Altadena locals Craig Wright and Ursula Gueringer appear as Herr Schultz and Fraulein Schneider, Skye Marie Sena as Fraulein Kost and Sean York as Ernst Ludwig. Joining us at the Kit Kat Klub are Lindy Jones, Molly Fowler, Abigail Loucks, Jacqueline Dennis, Bimei Flores, Jeannette Sharp Oakes, Zachariah Griffin, Avery Bass, Cole Elliot, and Sebastian Twohey-Jacobs.
Expect a musical adventure in the open-air amphitheater at Charles Farnsworth Park in the foothills of Altadena. Tickets starting at $35 available on their website at altadenamusictheatre.com.
