Exhibit other elements of water-wise landscaping with knowledgeable local guides on hand to describe the gardens and answer questions.
The tour will begin at Pasadena’s historic Washington Park, designed by famed California Native Plant conservationist Theodore Payne, with a guided tour provided by the Friends of Washington Park. We will then head over to a recently completed native garden at Jackie Robinson Post Office, designed and built by the community in collaboration with Transition Pasadena, Theordore Payne Foundation, and Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery, before descending into Bungalow Heaven to check out additional examples of drought tolerant water wise native plant landscaping.
> Slow pace. Bring a hat and water. Children and well-behaved pets are welcome. Bikes can be brought along or locked at the park.
