Come learn about what demographic categories are at higher risk of osteoporosis, as well as prevention, symptoms, treatments, and more.
Bone is living tissue that is constantly being broken down and replaced. Osteoporosis happens when more bone is broken down than replaced. It is called a “silent disease” because it weakens bones to the point that they can break easily, and people who develop it may not notice any changes until a bone breaks – usually in the hip, spine, or wrist.
