Experience a two-wheeled tour of “Art Night Pasadena”.

A special, beginner-friendly ride including Metro Bike Share bikes for those who would like to try the system free of charge.

The 3 mile route will include stops at several art venues, allowing participants time to explore temporary installations, historic Pasadena buildings and arts institutions, as well as socialize with fellow bike- and art-lovers.

All participants must sign a waiver at ride start to participate and will receive a free raffle ticket.

      Timeline

        •  6:00pm – Meet in Big Bang Theory Alley across from Memorial Gold Line station (85 E. Holly Ave). Sign-in, raffle tickets, check out Bike Share bikes, review basic rules of road including signaling.
        • 8:30pm – Final stop at Pasadena City Hall. Participants can utilize free bicycle valet parking at Day One (175 N. Euclid Ave) to check out exhibitions at City Hall, Central Library, Day One, Armory Center, etc.

      Start/End

Ride starts at Big Bang Theory Alley across from Memorial Gold Line station (85 E. Holly Ave). and ends at Pasadena City Hall, one block west of Memorial Park Gold Line station. Address: Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave.

      Getting there

If you plan to drive a car to the ride we strongly suggest parking at a Gold Line station (other than Memorial Park or Del Mar) and taking the train to Memorial Park station; auto parking is limited and relatively costly in downtown Pasadena. Allen Station and stations further east, as well as Fillmore station to the west, all have large automobile parking lots.

Route is for beginners and it’s mostly flat, approximately 3 miles with frequent stops.

      What to bring

      • Reserve a Bike Share ticket here if you would like to utilize a Metro Bike Share bike free of charge. If you prefer to use your own bicycle, reserve a “I’ll bring my own bike” ticket (Bicycle Valet parking will be available after the ride at Day One (175 N. Euclid Ave, Pasadena 91101), adjacent to the ride finish location, allowing participants to enjoy the rest of Art Night via foot and free shuttle until 10pm).
      • A TAP card or money for fare if you plan to use the Metro Gold Line.
      • A helmet is required for anyone under 18.
      • Children 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
      • Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat.

      > Adult ride participants must sign this waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign this waiver for any minors participating in the ride.

This event is made possible by Metro Los Angeles, Bike San Gabriel Valley (BikeSGV), the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, and the Downtown Pasadena Neighborhood
