Local historian Paul Ayers and his two-art history of the Mount Lowe Railway.

      The Disneyland of its day!

Mount Lowe Railway drew visitors from all over the nation and the world to little Altadena, a small town below the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Its story is not only a history of the resort itself; it is also a microcosm of America from the late 1800s to just before World War II.

Paul Ayers is a retired attorney with a passion for Southern California history. This event is hosted by the Altadena Historical Society. Free to Historical Society members; donations accepted from other attendees.
